so i wrote a song about passing the turkey. hope you enjoy. it uses a D, A, G progression for the verses, and a D, A, Em, G for the chorus.

i am such a dork. try to sing the lines kinda fast to get the right feel. if you use the progression any slower, it will come off as too serious.
Turkey
Austin Sweet
(verse 1)
So i'm sitting at the foot,
a mile away from you,
and my stomach is far from full.
you are laughing with
my brothers of every color,
but i can see the turkey getting cold.
(chorus)
so pass that bird,
and a good sharp knife,
so i can eat my fill,
maybe even have some rice
and potatoes on the side,
i wouldn't be so snide...
if you would pass that lovely bird my way
(verse 2)
I am growing older,
my beard's starting to fill
and still the turkey sits at your side.
(bridge) (just go back and foth between D and Dsus)
you are laughing till you cry,
but still by and by
the turkey that can't fly
is growing colder by your side
(chorus)
i have a really bad feeling that if i ever make a Cd, this'll be on it.
